Yes, the seller had homeowners, and his insurance refused to pay because they said it was neglect on the part of the homeowner. I had insurance on the house from the moment I signed closing papers, so I called my insurance just in case, and they said they would not cover it because it was the seller's fault, not mine, and they would NEVER cover it anyway and went so far as to send me another copy of my insurance papers highlighting in yellow where it states that mold is not covered.
