My husband had a leased vehicle repoed in 1/02, we recently have been getting calls from what I believe in an attorny's office regarding the balance. I read the info on your web site regarding repo laws in Ohio, but I want to be sure that I understand it correctly. When they repoed the vehicle it was around 11-11:30 at night and there were other cars parked behind it, the repo man proceeded to knock on our door, get us out of bed and demand that we move the other vehicles to allow him to repo the car. He was asked to leave our property but refused and stated that he would call the police and they would make us make the car available, not knowing the laws of "breach of the peace" we complied and allowed the car to be repoed. Do we have a leg to stand on to fight the balance which they claim is over 8K.

Your help is greatly appreciated. By the way we have not spoken to or written to the attorney's office yet, I would like to respond with the fact that the repo was not conducted within the law under the "Breach of the Peace".
