I received a call from one of these clowns from Camco this morning, regarding a charged off Citi account of mine from over 10 years ago. It had been wiped of my credit reports some time ago. I have since had other credit accounts with Citi. This gentleman started to threaten me, that this account would follow me around forever, and that I had a moral obligation to settle with Camco. He said I would continue to recieve calls, and got a very aggrevated tone of voice. I pointed out that I had settled my issues with Citi and it was enough for them to grant me credit with them once again. I also stated that they (Camco) had simply purchased this very old account portfolio from some other agency, and that Citi had no interest in pursuing any course of action with a client in good standing. He continued to argue, at which point I stated that his tone and course of speech was harrasment, and to put me on their "do not call" list, and to NEVER call me again. I said goodbye and hung up the phone. Are there any issues I should be concerned with in regards to Camco? From what I know of these types of companies, they have no real power to enforce any type of collection, or affect credit reports.
