"Lady" is correct, however, your local court/judge will probably not use the stricter FDCPA requirements for "proof" that the debt is yours.

Generally speaking, the courts will accept an account summary, any kind of proof of payment by you on the account, and/or charges by you.

The FDCPA requirements are helpful IF you can PROVE that the account information that the plaintif produces is FALSE, or without ANY reasonable proof of the amounts or dates, and that you have made a good faith attempt to dispute it.
