Being Sued

I had a bad business partnership in 2000. Since then, my personal credit has been destroyed. I haven't heard much from the companies I owed money to, however, I just got served. I am supposed to be in court in PA on March 3rd, but I now live in FL. What should I do? Should I call the lawyer, send a letter, or what? How should I handle it, and if I should settle, how do I do that? I am totally lost here. All I know is I am really working hard to get back on my feet after all this, and now this just pushes me back down. Thanks much for your help!!!
