Ok.. if the FTC defines what a debt collector is, how can the state of FL get away with protecting these scumbags ?? Isn't there some way to bring the FEDERAL LAW to bear ? I realize the FDCPA isn't meant to interfere with state laws, but one would think this could be somehow argued.

Geez.. so.. how does the FL statutes actually 'protect' these slimeballs ??
