I found the Statutes themselves just fine, but I spent a lot of time hunting and came up blank. Perhaps you could point me in the right direction ?

I need to find the statute that tells us what would or would NOT reset the SOL clock in MT. A person was scared into making a payment over the phone to a CA for an OLD Discover debt - last paid to OC in 1995 ! The SOL in MT is 5 years, so I'm thinking if the laws in MT are as others, they have NOT reset the clock and don't have to pay the harpy at the CA any more money.

I found several references to the 'statute of frauds' but nothing that pertained to this. Perhaps its worded a different way and I missed it ?

Thanks :)
