I just ordered my credit report online yesterday from Equifax and I called today to dispute two items. The two items I wanted to have removed were both credit card debts that were discharged in bankruptcy three years ago. Both of these credit card accounts are listed on my credit burea with the words "included in bankruptcy". I filed on at least 8 credit cards and these two cards are the only ones showing up on the report. The credit burea said they won't remove them because they show "included in bankruptcy". Doesn't the fact that they were filed in bankruptcy void the orginal debt? Shouldn't the bankruptcy be the only thing showing on my credit report? Please advise.
