I live in Maryland the three year rule applies here for collections. No credit card or loan company has tried to sue. However the CA's that now control my accounts keep calling, and sending nasty grams in the mail. The CA's also leave messages with neighbors. I'm trying to decide if I should file BK, or try to ride out the charge off's on my accounts. I stopped paying 9-12 months ago on most of my accounts. Is it possible to hide a BK on your credit report. I have seen advertisements that claim they can repair your credit and do this. I would rather never have credit again except I may need to move in the next few years, and my car will never last another 10 years. Sooner or later I will need credit again. Will the BK prevent me from getting a new house or buying a car?
