Enforcement of a judgment in a state like TX can come in many forms. First, they'll go for your bank account with a levy. They'll drain it to get your attention. They have to file a new motion with the court evey time they want to drain your account, so if you don't pay them somewhow, they'll take it from you by force.

They can and will do periodic 'debtors examinations' where you are summoned to court to answer questions about your income and assets. If you lie, you'll be in contempt of court. If the court finds you have assets to pay, they could sieze those assets. Judgments hang on for 10 years and are renewable. During that 10-20 years, they can keep calling you into court for 'examinations', they will be a royal pain in your butt for as long as it takes to get their money. A lot depends on the 'enforcer' they use, some of them (I know one in TX) are very diligent and very tenacious, he gets their money !!
