These slime balls have been calling me, too. When I asked them to send me proof of the debt, they got nasty. I have received no letters, nothing, but now am receiving harrassing phone calls demanding that I western union them money by the next day at 4:00 p.m. or they are going to file civil and criminal proceedings against me. During the 3rd phone call, I told "Gene" to quit calling me that I know they are a credit collection agency and that under FDCPA he has already committed several violations, including not disclosing up front that they are a collection agency and the quote "this is an attempt to collect a debt.... "... plus, I know it is illegal to file criminal proceedings, plus.. I wanted to know what jurisdiction they planned to file such suit.... to make a long story short... he called me a few choice names and hung up on me. A few seconds later, his boss called back and I went through the whole spill with him and he called me a few choice names, and told me they were filing suit. I told him to do what he had to do but quit calling me! He called me a few more names and then hung up! All I want is proof of the debt! These conversations were last week! Well, I received another call today, threatening prosecution if I haven't made my WU payment by 3:00 p.m. tomorrow.... I'm tuning them out until I get something in writing that I can take to the AG... I live in AR.... they are insisting that they are NOT a collection agency, but I contacted Centergy Equifax and they verified that National Check Control purchases their debt... I also found a site where someone received a bogus court document... it is at www.state.me.us/pfr/ccp/bounced.htm. See for yourself.

If anyone has experienced these problems with NCC, I would really like to hear from you. Also... I would like to know if anyone has received any written documentation from them. Thanks, JCasteel
