Well, 3 months is fast on the trigger. Are you sure you've been sued? Does the summons have a docket number? Did you call the courthouse to be certain?
In any event, I understand wages can't be garnished in S.C. but, a judgment will lay there accruing interest and if you ever hope to but a home they'll need to be satisfied. If you own a home they may be able to place a lein against it {if S.C. law allows this action} and you'd have to have them satified prior to selling or re-financing. Is Bk an option?
If you don't mind, who are the credit cards that sued so fast?
