Here is a copy of the letter: Just received a collection letter from CA requesting payment on Cap 1 credit card account. Please read and explain to me if this is owned by the CA or the OC plus the validation statement is included. Your XXXXXXXXXX account has not been paid and has been placed with this company for collection procedures. Please remit the full balance at the address listed below or contact one of our representatives to discuss payment options to assist you in clearing this balance. You must contact our offices immediately at X-XXX-XXX-XXXX, Monday - Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm to discuss matter. UNLESS YOU NOTIFY THIS OFFICE WITHIN 30 DAYS AFTER RECEIVING THIS NOTICE THAT YOU DISPUTE THE VALIDITY OF THIS DEBT OR ANY PORTION THEROF , THIS OFFICE WILL ASSUME THE DEBT IS VALID. IF YOU NOTIFY THIS OFFICE IN WRITING WITHIN 30 DAYS FROM RECEIVING THIS NOTICE, THIS OFFICE WILL: OBTAIN VERIFICATION OF THE DEBT OR OBTAIN A COPY OF JUDGEMENT AND MAIL YOU A COPY OF SUCH JUDGEMENT OR VERIFICATION.
