1. I owe nextcard around $3500 and never have been late on payments. I pay well over the minimum each month. I received a letter from NCO around the 20th of January. It stated that I am past due 189.00 to nextcard and that NCO has been requested by nextcard/mastertrust to assist them in collecting this.
2. I sent a validation letter to NCO. NCO received validation letter on 2-7...haven't heard anything from them as of yet. I pulled my credit report today. Nextcard account is showing closed by consumer....which I have never requested. Experian has updated the account through january, 2003. Not showing any lates, etc. Transunion and Equifax have not updated since last summer. Should NCO have sent the credit bureau's something showing this Nextcard account is being disputed? Also, please keep in mind this account is still owned by Nextcard/Mastertrust. Also, what should be my next step/course of action? Thanks
