College Student w/credit cards woes! HELP!!!

I stopped paying all but one of my seven credit cards a month ago. Living on my own and trying to pay my tuition leaves me with not nearly enough to pay the minimums. I'm hoping I can eventually charge them off, but can anyone tell me if I should be worried about lawsuits? Among the cards were Spiegel, Discover, Citibank, etc etc. Should I just try to file for bankruptcy? Any advice would be appreciated!
