I guess the main reason I am hoping to have them charged off is because I cannot afford to pay the minimum amounts (most are around 40 dollars), and the agencies which consolidate debt pretty much refused to help me because my monthly income was too low. It was actually more than a month ago I stopped paying (maybe 2-3 on some). I decided to close and continue paying one account (Capital One) and am trying to remain current on my utilities.
