Discover is NASTY to deal with and the WILL sue you if the account goes to charge-off (180 days of non-payment). If you can keep paying them something, then do so.

When was the last time you paid them ? Have you asked to be put on a hardship program or are they telling you they can't or won't ??

They can garnish wages but there's little they can do in the way of taking property. If you don't have any non-exempt property to take they're out of luck. They'll go for wage garnishment in most cases.
