A judgement was rendered against me and my now ex-husband in July of 1993. I had no assets at the time. I now own my own home. The judgement has long since fallen off my credit report, but I went to refinance my house and I find out the judgment was abstracted and filed in the real prperty records. No action has been taken by the creditor to collect the judgement and the judgement expires in July of this year. Of course, the creditor can renew it again. My question is - if the judgement expires in July will it automatically be terminated from the real property records, even if there is still a renewal period under which the creditor could renew the judgement?
