You're not gonna believe this but, after all that fughting on the telephine with Sears I received this letter today:
February 24, 2003 Dear XXXXXXX, RE: account # XXXXXXXXXXXX We are in receipt of your inquiry dispute/questioning information reported by Sears to the credit bureau. We have reviewed the information reported to the credit bureau and compared this against the information provided by you. We have found the credit bureau report to be inconsistant with our information.
As you requested, we have removed your name from the above listed account as of May 11, 2001. The credit information on this account will no longer be sent to the credit bureaus in your name. We have sent the necessary documents to the credit bureau requesting that your report be corrected. If you have not alreay done so, we request that you destroy any credit cards in your possession for this account. Please accept our appologies for any inconvenience you may have been caused. Sincerely,
Sears Customer Service Gee .. and I was gonna sue them .. LOL. Thank you for your assistance. Although I didn't need to fax the letter you mentioned, I'll save it for future reference.
