They ought to be sued for being idiotic enough to hand credit cards out like candy and then acting all appalled when the person can't pay!
The first credit card I ever got was from JC Penney. I don't even remember now what I was buying, but the lady said if I applied I'd get a 10% discount off my purchase. At the time, I did not work and my (now ex) husband was on SSI disability. I told her this and she said, well you get the discount approved or not, just put him down and what he draws and FORGE his signature! That's right, she told me to forge his signature. So anyway, I did it to get the discount, not thinking anything about it. A couple weeks later I get a JC Penney credit card in the mail! Here I am with a monthly income that consists of $584 in cash, $250 a month in food stamps, and WIC vouchers and the dummies give us a credit card! Well, it was all downhill from there, because I started getting preapproved offers in the mail left and right. Here you had a person who could scarcely get her children christmas presents and they're handing me this whole new source of money! Well, I got a job, got dicorced, and got stuck with all the credit card bills except one. So there ya go. I think that's one fine reason they oughta get sued or slapped one!
