Consumer Credit Counselling Services..Nonprofit????

Okay, I posted earlier about my woes with Discover card. The only way they will work with me is if I go through CCCS. I called CCCS and they said that they are a nonprofit organization that work with my creditors to lower my interest rates, payments, etc. This is my dilema. I'm only in trouble with Discover. I have multiple other credit cards but they are all current and have low balances. I use these cards when I need to buy shoes, school uniforms, clothes, etc. for the kids. (I have three kids, two toddlers and a 10YO) Anyway, I don't want to have to ruin my good credit with ALL of my creditors just to appease Discover Card. Has any one ever been through CCCS that would be willing to give me advice and share your experience with me? I don't understand why Discover will work with CCCS but not with me when my credit is otherwise okay, that makes absolutely no sense to me. The thought of being completely out of debt appeals to me but I don't want to make an even bigger mistake by going through CCCS and regretting it. Please feel free to email me with your experience. TIA. By the way, my husband has no idea about any of this debt....he would go through the roof. He is one of those that his money is his money and my money is my business so he's not going to help me out at all, just make it worse by fighting with me. He knows I have the cards and use the occasionally and even knows about the high balance with Discover ($6,500) but just doesn't know about this current dilema with being behind with Discover. I am at my wits end and any input would be greatly appreciated.
