It is a stall.
Most often the CAs have purchased your debt in a block, with little available documentation. They can TRY to obtain the info from the OC, but often on debts sold and resold the OC has long since sxxtcanned all the records. The CA will try to intimidate you by an official "disovery" request,but all it is- is a fishing expedition. I guarantee, they will come back to you with another "settlement" offer.Cowards and bullies do not know what to do if someone fights back.
