Dear Mr. Waldo,

I disputed the validity of this debt nearly a year ago with OSI Collection Services after receiving their original letter. I am still awaiting that verification.

To date I have sent four requests to OSI Collections Services, all of which were also sent CC to BellSouth, and have yet to receive any sort of verification. I have even gone to the extreme of asking the State of Florida and the Federal Trade Commission to assist in this matter as OSI has violated numerous laws, and has failed to submit any sort of conformation of this debt. As I still have not received verification I must assume the debt to be invalid.

As this is the case, how can you now be pursuing this alleged debt? As neither OSI nor BellSouth ever provided the demanded proof of this alleged debt, how am I to assume the debt exists or is owed by me? Is it not a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act to continue collection efforts on a disputed account without first providing verification of the disputed debt?

I urge you to check with your client, and their collection agency. This is not a valid debt, and I will not continue to be harassed! I have been more than cooperative in trying to resolve this matter, however it seems this has all been for nil. This is not acceptable. I have given both OSI and BellSouth ample opportunities to produce verification of this alleged debt. They have been unable to do so.

Should this harassment persist, I will have no alternative but to file a lawsuit against all parties involved.

As I am sure you are as anxious to put this matter to rest as I am, I will expect written conformation that this issue has been resolved within the next ten (10) days. Should I not receive this conformation within ten days, I will be forced to begin the process of filing complaints against you, OSI and BellSouth for violations of the FDCPA and seek counsel to pursue monetary damages to cover both my expenses incurred and emotional distress caused by BellSouth’s intentional and malicious harassment.
