CA won judgment says we can settle

Asset Acceptance told me today, that if I settle with them, they will delete the judgement from my cr. I am a bit worried about this, as I thought a court judment stays on like a bk. Is it possible for the ca to remove a judment from cr? Are they just barking up my tree on this one? Of course, I won't do any settlement without written agreement. Any advice?
