Thanks scott & Keyser Soze for your errort and information on this issue. I recieved a letter from CAMCO on 2/28/03. My immediate reaction was not pleasant. Then, realizing that the referenced debt was 12+ years old and had long been discharged by bankruptcy I got online and found this site. I have now joined you in filing a complaint with the BBB, FTC and IL Attorney General.

I also join you in urging all others to file complaints asap.

One question I do still have is if anyone else has experienced reciept of this scam letter shortly after pulling there own credit report from equifax.com? It may be pure coincidence, but I pulled my report online on 02/24/03 and got the letter on 02/28/03. Could my information have been purchased or "hacked" by these parasites at SCAMCO?
