Am I digging my own grave?

I'm still fairly new here, hopefully reposting in this months listing isn't a taboo, since I just posted this morn, with basically the same content? Anywho few more questions. Always seems to be more questions...

Okay here goes:

I MAY be facing the big BK; however, I am attempting all that I can sensibly do beforehand.

Sensibility to me is, using the strategies and validation letters from this board and creditnet.

I'm sending them certified, signed return receipt requested.

I'm paying off my one credit card now, and plan to store it in a safe, safe place. My student loans are safely in forbearance. The bulk of my debts are old medical bills that my ex accrued (for our child in Oregon, please don't judge me the timeline is intentionally left out) while I was a full-time, underemployed student, separated but not quite divorced.

An aside, MONEY sucks! If you don't have enough of it, it really can help to mess a relationship up!

-------------------------------Aside done.

I am now facing the underemployment issue again potentially this summer.

My biggest concern being if I awaken a CA, and I am sued before the statute of limitations runs can/ will/ likely/ that debt still be included in a BK as noncollectable?

I've already done it, so that card has been played yet I have no idea WHAT I've done.

I mean what are the chances that I'll really dig my own grave by validating a debt... Anyway, I know just enough to get myself into trouble and not enough to calm the rising anxiety.

Will a BK actually erase a judgment from a credit report in addition to making it uncollectable?

If I've previously been sued, and wasn't notified at an address because I didn't have any idea that a debt had been created, HOW long does it take for a public record to catchup to your credit report? As of today their are none listed.

If I am sued AND know about it, and begin to weigh the BK option more heavily what sort of planning should I take? To date in the last year I've been slowly cleaning all 3 of my credit reports, have maintained all PAST deliquencies in a separate file, AND am doing my best to find out what my ex has done that I may be liable for.

I have a BK attorney who is ready to help when I call, but I have hope that the anxiety will subside, the fear will go away, and the strategies I'm learning here will begin to take hold in a positive manner.

I'm right in the middle of it now looking it all straight in the face, and wonder if I should be seeking medication, big sigh.
