Yes nice try but that settlement puts a profit/loss flag on your account. You would not even be able to get a loan at citifinancial where they are much more lenient that a cc with it on. Then you are forgetting the rest of the 10k which will be sold to another CA unless you get a tax form in which you need to pay taxes on the remaining 10k. Let us not forget you now have a collection line with a settlement, numerous lates, and a bad cc tradeline. This will put you back about 60-100 points. There is no credit card that will touch you in a million years unless it is a $300 providian card with numerous fees.
