HELP!! CRA and MBNA question.

Okay, I disputed several things on my credit report with Experian (only one I've gotten so far). I disputed MBNA because they agreed to settle and then renigged. On the original one it stated "Account Charged Off $3775 written off Bad Debt". It also listed purchased by another lender - which is NCO because they have already called me regarding this. After disputing the amount and the way they handled my account (giving info to my ex), today it shows: Paid/Account charged off. $3,775 written off. Status Details:
This account is scheduled to continue on record until 5-2009.
This item was verified and updated on 3-2003.
What happened? I mean I know it's still bad but just curious why the paid showed up on it. Just curious what this means - if anything??
