My fiance found out not too long ago, his students loans were assigned to a collection agency due to default. I am trying to help him clear this up from his credit report. I was really happy to hear the exact same thing TM was offered, it is a rehab. After 12 months of ON TIME PAYMENTS, which we agreed would be only $150.00/month, they take the negative entry off the credit report and it becomes "current status". So this is not a lie to trick you into paying. Hope this helps!
