I live in Illinois and daughter accepted an alias summons for my son who does not live here. The summons is for a class (he dropped) and books from January of 2000. The summons states that he has to appear in court next Wednesday (March 12) This is not going to happen as he doesn't live here. Do you know if it's possible to settle this debt before the court date?? I feel bad since I have received mail for him but tossed it. Thanks in advance for your advise.
