Assuming you were first delinquent (first late date or last payment to original creditor) over 4 years ago, and assuming it is showing as a collection item on your credit report from the CA and as a charge-off from the OC, you will accomplish NOTHING for your credit "score" by settling with the CA, it will be $$$ down a rathole, and may well wind up making your credit "score" worse.
