Don't be stunned, they can do it anytime they like. Late pays twice in 6 is a big problem to the creditor. Pay enough to get the balance under the new credit limit and do a better job of paying your bills on time. Look at your statement and see if they raise your interest rate.
About all you can do is ask them to waive the over limit fee.
