in my opinion only validate IF NEEDED .. in my case i have 1 louzy chargeoff from about august 1998 ( Nevada 4 yr SOL ) so over the years i did nothing except tore up all their threatening letters to place by my phone and use as scrap paper to use for like the you know post-it kinda notes for REAL messages , all the while paying on & having many other major cards with excellant credit ( long story on why i couldnt pay the 1 so ne ways ) .. well all the many DIFFERENT collection companies that bought & sold that debt from that 1 card over the 4 yrs or so were from out of state & here in Nevada you must actually be IN Nevada to sue a Nevada resident becouse were a CLOSED BORDER STATE so i never REALLY worried about their empty threats .. well with my SOL about to be up in late August a NEVADA attorney contacted me about this ALMOST 4 yr old bill stating 30 days to validate or we'll sue you blah blah blah , well honestly THAT caught my attention becouse they REALLY COULD SUE ME becouse they were here in Nevada .. well what i did was wait until about day 25 then sent it back to them CRRR asking them to validate the debt becouse that would buy me just enough time for the debt to be SOL and guess what , NEVER heard from them again and now of course that was mid last summer & the debts going on 5 yrs old well past our 4 yr SOL .. so in my opinion validation is good other times well maybe not but again just my opinion becouse ALL cases are different , kelly .............
