The issue was the LEGAL SOL, not the reporting one. I don't know what State YOU are in, but the ONLY date you can count on for the START of either SOL BEFORE Jan. 1998 is the charge-off date.

AFTER Jan.1998, all OC's were required BY LAW to report the first date of delinquency prior to chargeoff to the CRA's.

Your Experian report, when showing the account for the OC should show the date it will come off the report.
