lexington law-settling restarts 7 year clock on cra

i read on lexingtom law that settling a debt restarts the 7 year clock. Is this true? If I settle a debt that I believed was past the Sol. can they legally come back and sue for the remaining?

Is lexington law a reputable company? Do we really need them.. Seems like sound advice can be found here..
