According to FDCPA they cannot threaten lawsuit without actually following through. The judgement threat is a scare tactict that they will attempt. When that fails they will attemt another scare. Is there an existing lien on the Jeep? If so they probably won't mess with placing another lien. If no lien's then see about adding your father's name. Same for bank accounts. They can't sieze property with a third party name on them.
