Observer, I don't think you understood. I closed the account because of their adverse action. Had they followed the rules of the FCRA, I would not have closed the account. I am vigilantly pursuing the collection account, as it is not mine. I don't care if Citi bank cares or not, they are still bound by the rules of FCRA, period.

You say be thankful my other creditors have not discovered the collection account? Why? It certainly isn't my fault an inaccurate collection account is on my credit report. It is now listed as disputed on my CR, and while it is going to take me some time to get it cleared and deleted, there is certainly no reason for someone like Citibank to take an adverse action on me, without at the very least giving me the opportunity to get the mistake corrected.

It may seem trivial to you that a creditor has violated the FCRA, but it is certainly not to me. Citibank should be held liable for their actions.
