I doubt it as well. I noticed a credit card account on my credit report that said was open but I had closed 6 years ago. I called them up and they couldn't find any records of me ever having an accoutn with them. Evidently the CR was in error.. It didn't matter since it wasn't negative.. But this tells me they don't keep records long..
