Thanks for the reply. The account is from Citibank. I also have two Discover accounts, and I'm not looking forward to what's about to happen in the next few months (I read about Discover's reputation in this forum). I have over 20 credit cards with debts totaling 100K and don't know whether I should file BK, or just wait it out for the SOL (4 years in CA) and take the lawsuits as they come (don't have any assets). I'm depressed, losing sleep, etc., etc. and am sick of dealing with these creditors. I'm not an irresponsible spender - I had ten years of clean, perfect credit until this bad business investment happened and then I lost my job and couldn't keep up with the payments, and now I have a tainted credit report and can only look forward to years of crappy credit reports. How did I get into this mess... Should I file BK? Any advice is so greatly appreciated. I'm going crazy here by myself.
