Yep a credit union is a good idea. Go open up a secured $500 loan. Put the money in a savings with them to secure it. Make sure they do not list it as a secured account though. Pay them for about 6 months and then take the $500 out of the bank to pay off the loan in full. go to creditnet.com . They are better as this question. There are a few secured cards out there that will report the card as unsecured. A secured card is worthless.
