I am a little worried about what to do and am not getting much info from my lawyer. I am filing a chapter 7 and have a current car loan which I wanted to keep paying to keep the car.

Under the advice of my lawyer, he said NOT to reaffirm the debt of the car because it is a 1998 with 106,000 miles and in the even I don't want to keep it in a couple of months, the finance company cannot come after me to repo it.

My 341 meeting is Apr. 2 and I have my payment due 3/15/03 which I was sending today. Since we did not reaffirm the debt can they take the car at the meeting or will any payments be useless to send? I am afraid of making payments and in a couple of months they will take the car. Also if the finance company is cruel can they still take the car in a couple of years from now when it's almost paid off? I am just confused.
