Received letter from CREDITONE collections. They purchased this count from a major department store. States on the bottom of the letter that I received that I have 30 days to dispute..When they say they'll provide verification of the debt what exactly does this mean? My last payment was in 1998. Im a California resident. What should or shouldn't I do? I don't want this company to put this debt on my credit report. Can this be avoided? With validation will they just send me generic info? What exactly must they provide? They stated I could pay half for full satisfaction. What does that exactly mean? thank you
