If I were you, I would contact the collection agency directly and have them verify this. By law,
they have to. It has to be a written request, and I would send it certified with delivery verification myself. Why did you send a letter to the CRA if the debt isn't even listed there?
Oh well. CRA may not respond at all...they don't have to. If it's not on the report, they will do nothing.
