I am trying to negotiate a settlement on a First USA account. The collection agengy just emailed yesterday, stating that when I make my settlement payment, First USA will never agree to 'Full Deletion' or 'Paid As Agreed'!

Is it true? What shoould I tell them? Please help me quickly!

-----------
here is the letter from the Collection Agency:

I will try to appeal this subject matter one last time but we can't go past 3 appeals.

I will tell you up front that they will never agree to FULL DELETION or PAID AS AGREED. They won't alter the facts. What they do is to allow us,
as their representatives, to fax or mail you a settlement-in-full agreement for your record and they eventually upgrade your report to settled-in-full.

Sincerely,

Dan Stevens
