I've been reading the posts and have noticed the advice given to deal with CAs is to not give them any info. Before finding this forum, I (naively?) sent a couple CAs letters explaining my financial situation (unemployed, no house, no car, no other way to pay) and asked for any payment plans they might have for me. Haven't heard from them since. I even sent similar letters to my OCs - I really wanted to work something out and pay my debt. Did I screw up? I'm afraid I did the wrong thing now. Is it better not to let them know my situation? (I'm in CA. DOLA: ~August 2002.)
