If a judgment is obtained it is good for 7 years, it is renewable for 5 years repeatedly, up to a total of 20 years.

It is VERY VERY rare for a judgment for small amounts (under $10,000) to be renewed.
Unless, of course, you get your picture in the paper winning the lottery.
