Apparently the law after July 1 1987 allowed for a 7 year extension, which GMAC took advantage of in 1994.
BUT earliest FL statutes available on the internet are dated 1997, at which time a 7 year extension was allowed, with the law changing in 2000 to 10 years.

I think I may be free and clear, but won't know until the title agent confirms
