Your credit will still be ruined if you use one of the firms like CCC. CCC will help prevent a BK but you still won't have credit for a long long time. BK stays on credit for 10 years. Slow/no pays stay on for 7 years from the LAST PAYMENT. So if it takes 5 years to pay off using CCC, then you are looking at 7 years after that for a total of 12 years.

Finally, use care in selecting debt companies. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
