if debt is sold to a collector, can the collector sue if its past the sol..

also, if my state has a 4 year sol.and I'm past it, but I move to a state with a 7 year sol. could I potentially be sued in that state? Im just trying to figure out what states if any allow creditors/collectors to sue even though you were past the sol. from the state you previously resided in? I will make it a point not to move to these states..

alos, have seen different sol. for arizona. do you know?
