Is there any way to stop a company from checking my credit report. I have several mortgage company inquires on my credit report, some more than once. Today, I got a pre-approval letter from another mortgage company. I have never even checked into a mortgage from anyone.
My credit report looks like I am in a desparate search for a mortgage. When the bad stuff falls off, they'll still be there.
